Niall qualified as a physiotherapist in 2008 from University of Bradford, having previously trained as a sports rehabilitator at Institute of Technology Carlow, Ireland. He is also coming to the end of his Masters degree in Advancing Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University. In this time Niall has gained vast experience working in the NHS as a lower limb specialist and working in sports from local level Gaelic Football, Hurling and Rugby union, to elite level academy football.
Niall has a special interest in sports injuries, particularly lower limb as well as injury prevention and functional adaptation to aim to restore normal movement. His work in sport included 1 year at Otley Rugby union team at National 1 level, as well as 5 years at Leeds United football academy. He currently works with a premier league football academy on a part time basis alongside his NHS work. Prior to qualifying as a physiotherapist, Niall did an internship in Philadelphia, United States in a NCAA University soccer programme.
Niall currently teaches sports and Kinesiology taping seminars and also does some guest lecturing at Leeds University to Advanced Practitioner Nurses. Niall has undertaken numerous post graduate qualifications on soft tissue and rehabilitation strategies and has trained with the Acupuncture Association
Niall enjoys sport of all kinds and is a keen traveler.
