Soft Tissue Therapy

Soft Tissue Therapy is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of the soft tissues within the body – these include muscles, connective tissue/fascia, tendons and ligaments. Soft Tissue Therapy works to ensure the soft tissue is in the best condition it can be and aligned correctly. This in turn will relieve any undue stress on joints and can reduce joint pain as well as aid muscle activation to prevent a recurrence of any issues.

Soft Tissue Therapists use a number of techniques including sports massage to help prevent and resolve many aches and pains whether these are acute or chronic conditions. These techniques are aimed at improving range of movement, reducing pain, correcting muscle imbalances and preventing areas of adhesion formation.

Soft Tissue Therapy is not just applicable to people who do sport at any level, it can help improve posture and reduce the impact of work and life stress. It can be used as a preventative treatment as well as therapy to aid your recovery or help improve performance whatever your aims.

The Soft Tissue Therapists within CSPC work closely and in conjunction with the other therapists in the clinic as part of an all-encompassing treatment plan for the individual.
